2023 holds a lot of promises, especially for the F&B industry. As the industry tries to pick itself up from the ashes of the pandemic, the need to assess and analyze what to do and how to do it in the near future is imminent and requires heavy lifting on data analytics and consumer behavior and hospitality operational improvements.

THE FUTURE OF F&B, the first major foodservice conference in 2023, reveals some of the tried and tested ways in coping with the crisis in recent past, at present and, possibly in the future. On March 3, 2023, Friday, 9AM-5PM, at the Conrad Hotel Manila, a powerhouse cast of thought leaders and F&B experts will converge and share the answers to some of the pressing questions of our industry players and suppliers and its stakeholders.

Gary De Ocampo, CEO of Kantar and Gino Borromeo, Chief Strategy Officer, BBDO Guerrero will provide the macro perspective on industry trends, focusing on consumer behavior, amid the premise that the F&B industry seems to “lack joy in its current state”. Today’s culinary industry’s generation of chefs have seen the rise of Celebrity Chef Myke “Tatung” Sarthou, co-restaurant owner of Pandan Asian Cafe and Lore, award-winning and Best-selling book author and Chef Philip John Golding, Culinary Director, CCA, who will both explore the world of menus as a driver of transactions and average check per transaction.

Jerico Buning, SVP/GM, Waltermart Community Malls and Paco Magsaysay, Founder and Board Member, Carmen’s Best Ice Cream talk about The Changing Retail Landscape and  The Importance of Brand Storytelling, respectively. David Sison, President/CEO, Mama Lou’s Hospitality Group shares his insights on Branding New Concepts in the New Normal, particularly in the casual dining segment, and Joey Garcia, CFE, President/CEO, Wendy’s Philippines & Conti’s Bakeshop & Restaurant will discuss his Quick Service Restaurant’s Crisis Management Strategies. Adi Timbol-Hernandez, the Corporate Relations Director of McDonald’s Philippines will cap the conference with a talk on Building Trust, Building the Brand.
