Over 200 parents and children enjoyed the meet and greet, Tiktok dance with Pol, Make Your Own Baon cooking workshop, selfie and groufie picture with Chef Tatung, and the book launch event held in the Quantum Skyview of Gateway Mall 2, Araneta City last March 16, 2024.
High-pitched and happy voices of children, Miss Jill, and Chef Tatung filled the Quantum Skyview as they interacted with each other throughout the entire event. Pol, the mascot, was also introduced in the event as part of the Vertikal Kreatives barkada. You could also see elated smiles when children rushed up to the stage to dance alongside Chef Tatung and Pol after they were invited to join. It was a fun-filled day that will surely become a memorable moment for them to remember for the rest of their lives.
Part of the book launch event is the Make Your Own Baon cooking workshop where kids enjoyed preparing their own sandwiches and decorating their cupcakes. Some were able to grab enough ingredients to create a delicious snack and some made their snack pop with overflowing filling and sprinkles. Young chefs enjoyed the activity with their parents, and there, they were inspired to learn how to cook.
Chef Tatung created the cookbook with children in mind. It has pushed aside the difficulties of learning from heavy cookbooks designed for adults, and set the stage for the beginning of culinary learning for kids. The book launch was made possible in partnership with Gateway Mall 2, Araneta City, Nestlé, Maggi, Goodlife, and Masflex.
