Tired of your usual fried bangus? Level-up your fried bangus with this delicious and sizzling recipe!

 Serves 3 to 4.

INGREDIENTS:

Set A:

  • 350-500 grams bangus belly fillets, cut into serving pieces 
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/3 cup flour, for dredging
  • Oil, for frying

Set B (Sauce):

  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil (from Set A)
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 piece onion, sliced
  • 1 thumb-sized ginger, peeled and minced
  • 2 pieces tomatoes, diced
  • 2 tablespoons salted black beans
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce 
  • 4 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 small tofu, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch 
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • Cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
