Burger patties are fun and easy to prepare as you would only need ground meat and an array of aromatics or spices. Mix it all together, let it set for a while, and it is ready to be cooked. Just make sure not to pan-grill it on a flame that is too hot, or else you might burn its crust before it’s fully cooked inside.

Burger Steak with Mushroom Gravy

Ingredients
  

For the Binder:

  • 3 Tbsps. breadcrumbs
  • 1 pc. egg
  • 1/4 cup fresh milk

For the Meat Mixture:

  • 1/2 kg. ground beef
  • 1 pc. small onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 Tbsps. soy sauce
  • 1 pack Maggi Magic Sarap
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper

For the Mushroom Gravy:

  • Cooking oil
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsps. flour
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce

Instructions
 

  • Start by preparing the binder. In a bowl, add the breadcrumbs, egg, and milk. Leave it to soak for a few minutes. Set aside.
  • Prepare the ground beef mixture next. In a bowl with the ground beef, add the onions, garlic, soy sauce, salt, Maggi Magic Sarap, and black pepper. Mix it all together. Add the binder and mix again. Portion the ground beef mixture.
  • In a pan, heat the oil. Place the portioned ground beef mixture into the pan. Do not move it around too much. Flip it over after one side is beautifully seared. Once it is cooked, remove it from the pan. Set aside.
  • Using the same pan, add butter. Once the butter has melted, add the flour. Mix until the flour is fully incorporated with the butter, then add the mushrooms. Add beef stock and soy sauce. Pour the finished sauce over the cooked burger patty.

Cook just enough for yourself or make a huge batch for your entire family to enjoy, this recipe will surely complete your meal. You can even prepare more gravy than needed, just in case someone wants another scoop.
