Chef Tatung’s restaurants enter the list of Top 50 Great Restaurants in Metro Manila and Beyond.

This year is a year of resilience and revitalization as restaurants reopen, with new ones popping up in every corner of the Metropolis. Among the new concepts that captured the hearts of the people and made it to the list of ‘50 Great Restaurants of 2023: Best of Manila and Beyond’ by Spot.ph, is Chef Tatung’s Azadore, a homey and relaxed dining destination in the laid-back Scout Area of Quezon City. Public Eatery in Robinson’s Magnolia, which houses Chef Tatung’s New York Cubao, is also in the list.

Chef Tatung, a serial restopreneur who opened multiple restaurants within the last two years, is not a stranger to the list. Two of his restaurants, Lore in BGC and Tatung’s Private Dining in Antipolo, appeared in ‘Best of Manila + More: 50 Great Restaurants of 2022’. With a total of four restaurants now featured in two of Spot.ph’s annual list, Chef Tatung feels “Thankful and also excited for the years to come. Our hard work and hours of meticulous planning finally paid off.”

Azadore, one which focuses on community dining, is a calming restaurant wherein the portions are enough to satisfy a big appetite. Built within a post-war heritage house and designed by the iconic Ivy Almario, it not only carries with it the delicious scent of food, but also brings with it a touch of art and history; making its inclusion in the list even more special. And then New York Cubao, a New York subway-inspired stall located at Robinsons Magnolia’s new upscale communal dining hall, is a well-mixed twist of Filipino and American dining connections. It, as Chef Tatung says, is “an American diner with a Pinoy twist or an Americanized tapsilogan.”

Whether Azadore or New York Cubao, both of them are worthy enough for a visit. So head on over and understand the reason why it has been included in the list of Spot.ph’s Top 50 Best Restaurants.
