When chocolate and banana bread come together, it creates this deliciously fluffy Choco Banana Loaf that can be enjoyed by the entire family. You can enjoy it as is or make it even more chocolatey by either coating or dipping it in melted chocolate.

Choco Banana Loaf

Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon powder

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup canola oil
  • 2 pcs. medium egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 cups overripe bananas
  • 1 cup chopped chocolate

Baking Time:

  • Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, 160 °C.

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, add the flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon powder. Make sure to sift all the ingredients. Mix well. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, add the brown sugar, canola oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Beat it all together until it emulsifies.
  • Peel and place overripe bananas in a container. Mash it. You can make it as smooth or lumpy as you like. Once mashed, add it to the sugar-oil mixture. Blend it all together.
  • Preheat the oven to 160 °C.
  • Add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients little by little. Mix, then blend it all together to get an even mixture.
  • Chop the chocolate into smaller pieces. Add it in the bowl. Mix.
  • Brush the baking pan with oil. Pour the loaf batter in, then place it in the oven. Bake it for 45 to 50 minutes.
  • You can also make cupcakes with the loaf batter. Make sure to line it with cupcake fillers, then fill the cupcake pan about ⅔ of the way so it doesn’t overflow. Place it in the oven that has been preheated at 175 °C. Bake it for 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Once it has finished cooking, remove the pans from the oven. Make sure to check the doneness by inserting a toothpick and it comes out clean. Let the cupcakes and banana loaf cool down.
