Fried rice is an appetizing and efficient way to reheat leftovers. With the combination of various flavor profiles, you can create the best version from several different dishes–a combination that will surely amaze you and save you some penny.

This enticing bowl of fried rice is a favorite that can be paired with other dishes or can be enjoyed as it is. It is inspired by the Chao Fan from Chowking, making it a familiar taste that can now be prepared in the comfort of your home.

Chowking-Style Chao Fan

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. onion, minced
  • 1/4 cup ground pork
  • 1/4 cup Silver Swan Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsps. Silver Swan Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger, grated
  • 1 pc. egg
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/4 sachet Wow Sarap All-in-One Seasoning Granules
  • 2 Tbsps. carrot, minced
  • 1/2 cup water spinach, shopped (kangkong, stalks included)
  • Spring onion
  • Cooking oil

Instructions
 

  • In a pan, heat the oil. Sauté the garlic, onion, carrot, and ground pork. Toss it all together.
  • While that is cooking, prepare the sauce. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, ginger. Mix well.
  • Move the ground pork to the side, place the egg in the empty space in the pan and scramble. Once the egg is cooked, add the rice. Season with all-purpose seasoning and sauce mixture. Toss.
  • When all the flavors have fully incorporated with each other, add the kangkong. Toss and leave it to cook for 3 - 4 minutes.
