Do you want another variety of Filipino meatloaf to add to your holiday meals? Check this scrumptious Lucban delicacy– a delectable combination of cubed pork, vegetables, pineapple, and eggs flawlessly cooked. Definitely a perfect addition to our holiday feast this year!

Serves 7 to 8.

Ingredients:

Set A:

  • 1 kg. ground pork (at least with 20% fat)
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 4 tablespoon white sugar
  • ½ cup onions, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground white pepper

Set B:

  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup fresh milk or cream
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated

Set C:

  • 1 cup carrots, minced
  • ¾ cup red bell peppers, minced
  • 1 cup pickle relish or pineapple, drained and crushed
  • ¼ cup banana catsup
  • 1 cup raisins (optional)
  • 1 cup green peas (optional)

For Toppings:

  • 1 can pineapple chunks
  • 1 piece red bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 slices carrots, florets

Chef Tatung’s Tips:

  • Make sure the ground pork is chilled before working on the recipe.
  • For better flavor, chill the mixture overnight before steaming.
