A dessert that every Filipino loves. the secret is in cooking it over low heat until it transforms into a piece of heaven.
INGREDIENTS:
Set A:
1 cup granulated sugar
4 Tbsps. water
Set B:
12 egg yolks
1 can condensed milk (396 ml)
1 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 pc. dayap, zested
Procedure:
A. In a saucepan, cook the Set A ingredients until the mixture becomes amber in color. Then pour into the cake pan or llanera and place in the chiller to set.
B. In a bowl, combine all Set B ingredients and mix until well combined. Pour into the cake pan or llanera and place on a tray with hot water then bake or steam.
