These deep-fried dough balls coated with sesame seeds are the Visayan version of doughnuts.
INGREDIENTS:
Set A:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Set B:
1/4 cup palm oil
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup evaporated milk
Set C:
1/2 cup sesame seeds
1 liter palm oil, for frying
PROCEDURE:
A. Sift the Set A ingredients into a bowl and mix everything.
B. Add in Set B ingredients and mix until well combined.
C. Shape into rounds, then roll in sesame seeds. Fry until golden brown. Drain off excess oil, then roll again in sesame seeds.
