These fancy little tarts are not only scrumptious, but pretty to look at as well. Have a bite of these different flavors and shapes of tarts. A simple and easy recipe perfect as a snack or pasalubong for the family.

INGREDIENTS:
Set A:
1 cup unsalted butter, at room
temperature
1 whole egg
3/4 cup powdered sugar
2 1/2 cups cake flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla extract

For the filling
Set A:
6 egg yolks
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup full cream milk
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract

Set B:
Fresh fruits, sliced

PROCEDURE:

A. In a bowl, combine Set A ingredients and mix with a fork until the mixture becomes sand-like in texture. Let rest for 30 minutes. Then roll out and fit into a tart molder. Press down to form a crust. Cut off excess.

Blind-bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

For the filling:
A. In a saucepan, warm the milk and vanilla extract. In a bowl, combine the rest of Set A ingredients and mix until well combined. Temper half of the warm milk into the mixture, then mix all together until well combined. Let it cool down.

B. Pipe the filling onto the baked tart crusts and top with fresh fruit slices and brush with corn syrup.
