A soft and chewy brownie you can bling up with all sorts of goodies.
INGREDIENTS:
Set A:
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup chocolate chips
Set B:
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
4 Tbsps. glucose syrup
4 whole eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Set C:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup walnuts, chopped
3/4 cup chocolate chips
PROCEDURE:
A. Melt the Set A ingredients in a double boiler or a microwave oven.
B. Add the Set B ingredients and combine Set A and B ingredients gently as not to incorprate too much air into the mixture.
C. Sift the Set C ingredients before adding walnuts and chocolate chips. Combine Sets B and C and mix until just combined. Do not overmix. Pour into a greased square pan, then bake. To check doneness, insert a toothpick to check if it comes out clean.
