A fried Spanish dessert that goes very well with a hot chocolate drink or dip. Try double frying the churros for a crispier crust.
INGREDIENTS:
Set A:
1 1/4 cups water
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/2 tsp. salt
Set B:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Set C:
3 whole eggs
Set D:
6 cups Golden Fiesta Palm Oil
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup cinnamon powder
PROCEDURE:
A. In a saucepan, simmer together softened butter, water, and salt until melted.
B. Add flour and cook until it creates a layer on the bottom of the pan.
C. In a mixer with paddle attachment, pour in the dough and mix until it cools down. Then add the eggs one at a time.
D. Scoop the mixture into a piping bag and pipe into the pre-heated palm oil. Fry until golden brown. Then dust with sugar and cinnamon powder.
