Most of the time and because of the American Colonianism, we always associate the word ‘bistek’ as the slang word for beef steak. But in reality,
the term ‘bistek’ is derived from the spanish dish ‘Bistec Encebollado’ which is very similar to our bistek tagalog. Nowadays, Filipinos use pork because it’s cheaper.
INGREDIENTS:
Set A:
- 3/4 kilo beef sirloin
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1⁄2 cup tablespoons soy sauce
- 1⁄4 cup calamansi
- 1 cup clear soda
Set B:
- 4 tablespoons cooking oil
- 3 pieces white onion
