DISH YOU KNOW?

Though the term embutido actually refers to a Spanish sausage, the filipino version of the dish is more like the American meatloaf studded with American products such as raisins, pickles, hotdogs, and cheese making it a festive Filipino treat!

INGREDIENTS:

Set A:

  • 3/4 kilo ground pork
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup banana catsup
  • 2 pieces egg
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup milk

Set B:

  • 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
  • 1/2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup carrots minced
  • 1/4 cup onion minced

Set C:

  • Foil
  • banana leaves
  • sausage
  • hard-boiled eggs
